Chet Gordon is a staff photographer at the Times Herald-Record in Middletown, NY. He's been a newsphotographer for 20+ years, including staff positions at three NYC / NJ area newspapers & as a photo editor at the NY Daily News. His work has appeared in The New York Times, International Herald-Tribune, USA Today, Army Times, Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek, among others. A former U.S. Marine, he served honorably in the 1980's, including 2 years on Okinawa, Japan. A longtime volunteer & travel junkie, he accompanies humanitarian aide clients on their international disaster relief & medical missions, as well as international personal projects. Since 1997, he's worked in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Senegal, El Salvador, Honduras, Haiti, Jordan, Kosovo, Albania, Gaza, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Russian Federation, Venezuela, Paraguay & Afghanistan.
